Our client, a leading Insurance firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manager, Fund Administration to join their team. This is a critical contract role where you will lead a small team of analysts and oversee the daily operations for a diverse portfolio of mutual funds, corporate class funds, and segregated funds.

Responsibilities
•Team Leadership: Manage and coach a team of two analysts, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
•Daily Oversight: Lead the day-to-day activities of the Fund Administration team, specifically the oversight of NAV calculations for all Mutual Funds, Corporate Class, and SLF GIF Seg Funds.
•Error Management: Review any NAV errors, assess their impact, and implement corrective actions.
•Fund Lifecycle Management: Coordinate complex fund changes, including new fund launches, closures, mergers, and name changes.
•Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with third-party vendors and participate in working group meetings for transitions.
•Compliance & Audit: Review Prospectus and Annual Information Forms; sign off on merger activities to ensure general ledgers are aligned and tax/audit requirements are met.
•Strategic Support: Assist the Director with vendor relationship management and serve as a backup for the Director as needed.
Qualifications
•Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting with a proven track record in people management and coaching.
•Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with RBC systems (Trust, Milvus, RBCIS Online, MPower, MView) or CIBC Mellon systems (Nexen, Eagle, GSP).
•Education: A University or College degree is required.
•Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and Adobe, with the ability to manage large data sets efficiently.
•Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a decisive approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation.
•Preferred Assets: * Professional designation (CPA, CMA, or CFA) is highly desirable but not required.
oDeep knowledge of Mutual Fund Trusts, Mutual Fund Corporations, and Segregated Funds.
oStrong understanding of compliance and oversight functions.
