Responsibilities
•Contract Review: Execute thorough accounting reviews of loan contracts to eliminate existing backlogs and ensure compliance.
•Financial Analysis: Investigate, analyze, and provide clear explanations for financial results and variances.
•Month-End Support: Lead month-end close activities, ensuring all loan accounting and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
•Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current accounting workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
•Advisory & Investigation: Act as a subject matter expert for loan accounting inquiries and resolve complex process issues as they arise.
Qualifications
•Experience: 5+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience, specifically within financial service institutions.
•Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, Macros, complex formulas) and familiarity with AI tools to enhance productivity.
•Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards. Experience with ACBS or General Ledger applications (SAP, Oracle) is a significant asset.
•Education: University degree in Finance or Accounting. A CPA designation (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
•Soft Skills: Must be a driven, results-oriented problem solver with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly with onshore teams.
