Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are as follows:
-Full-Cycle Accounting: Managing the General Ledger, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll.
-Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and SOX standards.
-Closing & Reporting: Managing month-end cycles, reconciliations, and financial statements.
-Treasury: Handling cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
-Internal Controls: Implementing measures to safeguard company assets.
-Optimization: Leveraging accounting software (QuickBooks/Sage) for maximum efficiency.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + CPA designation
-Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
-Advanced proficiency in Excel
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
-Solid knowledge of ERP systems
-Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and demanding team environment
-Bilingualism (English/French), both spoken and written*
*As the company conducts a significant portion of its business outside of Quebec, the successful candidate will be required to communicate regularly with English-speaking stakeholders. Therefore, proficiency in English (both oral and written) is an essential requirement.
