As the Controller, your mission is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial operations. You will be a key business partner, providing timely insights and guidance to departmental managers to drive informed decision-making. You will take full ownership of the financial planning function, including the annual budgeting process and monthly reviews, while leading a team of finance professionals toward excellence in productivity and best practices.

Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and develop long-term financial strategies.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis on operational performance, margins, and cost drivers.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and unit economic models to track operational KPIs.
- Perform ROI, IRR, and NPV analysis to evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditures.
Accounting Processes & Internal Controls
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations and maintain robust documentation for audit compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
- Monitor currency exposure and support treasury/hedging strategies.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual data work and improve interdepartmental financial controls.
Leadership & Strategic Partnership
- Lead, mentor, and train a team including a Senior Accountant & Accounting Analyst
- Translate complex financial results into relatable insights for stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge.
- Collaborate with the Director of Finance to optimize working capital and treasury management.
Qualifications
- Professional Designation: CPA highly preferred.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in financial reporting, ideally within a fast-paced or growth-stage environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong cost accounting knowledge and proven experience in multi-entity/multi-currency consolidation.
- Systems: Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must; experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP software is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of operational cost structures (COGS, logistics, manufacturing). Experience in the Food & Beverage or Manufacturing industry is considered a significant asset.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively across all levels of the organization.
