We’re seeking a reliable, highly skilled Fleet Mechanic to support our growing maintenance department. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring each fleet unit is fully operational and ready for the road. Along with completing scheduled servicing, you’ll be the primary technical resource for complex mechanical repairs, intricate electrical system diagnostics, and advanced troubleshooting. Your expertise will directly contribute to fleet uptime, operational safety, and long-term equipment performance.
Advantages
Why Joining Our Team Is a Great Move for Your Career
Operate with Independence & Showcase Your Expertise
This is a role built for a seasoned professional — not an entry-level mechanic. Your Journeyperson credentials and advanced technical abilities will be counted on every day. You’ll serve as the primary specialist for intricate diagnostics, major repair work, and maintenance tasks that directly impact vehicle performance. From engines and transmissions to hydraulics, HVAC, electrical systems, steering components, and braking systems, you’ll tackle challenging rebuilds and in-depth troubleshooting that let you demonstrate — and continue expanding — your mastery.
Engaging, Hands-On Work Every Day
Expect a wide variety of tasks that keep your days interesting and fast-paced. Your work will include everything from standard service inspections and tune-ups to complete system repairs and detailed mechanical overhauls. You’ll also handle smaller bodywork tasks such as glass or bumper repairs. When needed, you may be called upon for field or roadside support to get vehicles safely back into operation. You’ll work across diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic and air brake systems, multi-voltage electrical setups, and modern computerized vehicle controls.
Strong Safety Culture + Ongoing Training
Join a team that prioritizes safety above all else. You’ll follow established protocols, wear the proper PPE, and work within a system designed to protect you and your team. You’ll also have access to continuous trade development, including technical courses and certifications to keep you current with the latest tools, systems, and industry standards.
Your Work Truly Matters
The repairs and maintenance you perform directly impact the uptime, reliability, and efficiency of the entire fleet. You’ll diagnose issues, complete repairs, run performance tests, and clearly communicate results to operators and supervisors — ensuring full transparency and accountability. You’ll also support the organization by maintaining a clean, orderly work area and assisting with shop inventory, ensuring tools and parts are always ready when needed.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Take On: Ensuring Our Fleet Stays Reliable and Ready

Major Repairs & Component Rebuilds: Carry out both standard repairs and full overhauls on diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, generators, HVAC systems, and hydraulic assemblies. This includes alignment work, wheel-related adjustments, and precision mechanical restorations.
Preventive Maintenance Program: Complete routine inspections, tune-ups, lubrication tasks, and scheduled preventive service checks—such as monthly detailed evaluations—to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Light Body Repair & On-Site Support: Handle minor bodywork including windshield, bumper, and exterior trim repairs, while also providing mobile mechanical assistance when vehicles require field servicing.
Safety, Cleanliness & Documentation: Keep the shop safe and well-organized by consistently following PPE standards, maintaining orderly work areas, and recording all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for accuracy, compliance, and future reference.

Required Education: Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent credential.
Key Skills & Abilities: Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication abilities, paired with excellent coordination and the capacity to accurately interpret and carry out both written instructions and verbal directions.
