Responsibilities
As a Flexographic Press Operator, you will play a central role in ensuring our printing lines run safely, efficiently, and at peak quality standards.
- Operate, setup, change over, and maintain standard flexographic printing presses according to the daily schedule.
- Prepare and dispense specialized inks, managing viscosity, pH levels, and precise color matching for every run.
- Mount printing plates accurately, control web tension, adjust impression settings, and manage anilox rolls.
- Perform real-time quality checks, maintain accurate production documentation, and troubleshoot print defects promptly.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on press machinery to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Work collaboratively with team members across weekly rotating day, afternoon, and night shifts.
Qualifications
We are seeking reliable print professionals with great attention to detail, a strong attendance record, and a passion for mechanical troubleshooting.
- Direct practical experience operating standard flexographic printing presses. (Minimum 1 year)
- Solid understanding of ink chemistry, color control, registration, and press adjustments.
- Mechanical inclination with proven ability to diagnose and correct minor machinery issues.
- Excellent organizational skills, manual dexterity, and high visual precision.
- Full flexibility to work weekly rotating shifts across morning, afternoon, and night schedules.
- Ability to commute reliably to our current facility in Brampton, ON.
