Responsibilities
• Safely operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and move materials across busy shipping and receiving docks.
• Stage, sort, and organize incoming and outgoing freight within a high-volume LTL and cross-dock logistics environment.
• Scan inventory using RF scanners, verify physical product counts, and record any shipping discrepancies accurately.
• Conduct required pre-operational safety inspections on forklifts and material handling equipment prior to each shift.
• Wrap, palletize, and secure heavy loads to ensure safe transit and maintain a clean, hazard-free dock space.
Qualifications
• Valid forklift license and proven experience operating sit-down counterbalance forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or dock setting.
• Practical background in transportation, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload), or cross-dock logistics environments.
• Ability to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs and navigate tight warehouse corridors with strong spatial awareness.
• Certified CSA-approved steel-toe safety footwear and commitment to daily pre-shift safety protocols.
