Responsibilities
As a forklift operator your responsibilities will include:
• Receiving goods and checking delivery notes for compliance
• Storing products in their assigned locations
• Picking orders accurately and on time
• Packing products securely
• Use a barcode reader (RF scanner)
• Operate manual or electric pallet jacks to move pallets around the warehouse
• Participate in cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy
• Prepare orders for final shipment by printing the appropriate labels.
Qualifications
What is expected of the forklift operator:
• 1 year of experience operating forklifts (reach trucks and dock stackers)
• Have permanent resident status or Canadian citizenship
• Ability to perform physical work and lift loads repeatedly
• Ability to use technological tools such as RF scanners and a computer
• Proficiency in safe handling techniques and use of pallet jacks
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when preparing orders
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing and logistics environment
