Responsibilities
• Operate a Counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and retrieve heavy automotive parts and materials.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trailers with speed and accuracy to maintain manufacturing & logistics timelines.
• Perform manual lifting of up to 30 lbs regularly to assist in the manual sorting and organization of the automotive warehouse.
• Conduct thorough daily safety inspections on the forklift and document any mechanical concerns.
• Utilize warehouse technology, such as RF scanners, to ensure inventory accuracy within the manufacturing & logistics system.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area to uphold the highest safety standards of the automotive warehouse.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production and shipping quotas.
• Follow all internal standard operating procedures and provincial health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
• Valid Forklift certification is strongly preferred for this role.
• Must be able to pass a clear criminal background check as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently throughout the duration of the afternoon shift.
• Availability to complete initial training on the day shift before moving to the afternoon shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
• Previous experience in an automotive warehouse or a similar manufacturing & logistics setting is a definite asset.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite in Woodstock, Ontario.
• A safety-first mindset and a history of maintaining an excellent attendance record.
• Proficiency in Counterbalance forklift operation with a focus on safety and precision.
• Strong spatial awareness to navigate a busy automotive warehouse without damaging stock or equipment.
• Physical dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive lifting tasks up to 30 lbs.
