Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (Sit-down Counterbalance, Reach, or Walkie/Pallet Jack) to move, stage, and stack materials
- Comfortable performing repetitive lifting and moving of materials weighing 50lbs as needed for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Maintain a high standard of inventory organization to keep operations running smoothly.
- Ability to maintain high energy levels while standing, walking, and bending throughout a full shift.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trailers and containers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read English labels
Qualifications
- CSA-certified steel-toed boots is REQUIRED for site access.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or Order Picker preferred).
- Prior experience operating manual or electric pallet jacks is an asset.
- Minimum 6 months of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Comfortable working in various environments (warehouses, outdoors, or manufacturing floors).
- Strong sense of balance and dexterity.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a strong asset.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation is preferred to ensure consistent attendance.
- Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a team-player attitude.
