Our Toronto based client is looking for a
Full Stack Developer (Java / React / AI-Powered Systems) to join their team
Location: Toronto, ON (downtown.) — Hybrid (2 days/week on-site)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Are you an engineer who lives in the IDE, thrives on shipping clean code, and loves seeing your work hit production?
...
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a tight-knit, high-impact team building a next-generation, AI-driven Client Management Platform. We aren't looking for slide-deck architects or high-level delegates—we want active, hands-on coders who write unit tests, debug in KVM environments, review AI-generated code, and take true ownership of their software.
Advantages
Why You’ll Love This Role
Build Modern AI Tech: Work on a "one-stop-shop" platform that ingests live data streams (Outlook, Zoom, Symphony, Bloomberg) and leverages AI to auto-generate intelligence, summaries, and action items for business teams.
True "You Build It, You Own It" Culture: Experience full-cycle engineering. You’ll own your code from initial commit through CI/CD, testing, and production deployment.
Lean, High-Visibility Team: Join a nimble 5-person engineering pod with global support, where your code directly impacts the business every single day.
Collaborative Hybrid Environment: Downtown Toronto location with initial 2 days/week in-office collaboration.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing Daily
Writing & Reviewing Code: Hands-on development in Java (Java 21) microservices and React / JavaScript front-ends.
Integrating AI: Working with OpenAI APIs and GitHub Copilot—evaluating, debugging, and optimizing AI-driven components.
Managing Data: Architecting RESTful APIs and querying/optimizing PostgreSQL databases.
Linux & DevOps: Navigating Linux environments, checking DB data, and managing deployments via automated CI/CD pipelines.
Quality & Reliability: Writing robust automated unit and integration tests, tackling tech debt, and participating in pair coding and code reviews.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Hands-on Experience: 3 to 6+ years of active, day-to-day software development experience (5 years is the sweet spot!).
Core Stack Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java (multithreading, microservices architecture) and modern JavaScript / React.
Database & API Skills: Solid hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and RESTful API design.
Practical Linux & Infrastructure: Comfortable using basic Unix/Linux commands to inspect systems, check DB state, and debug KVM testing environments.
AI Tooling Awareness: Experience with or strong curiosity about OpenAI integrations and Copilot, including the ability to debug and evaluate AI-generated code.
Mindset: A pragmatic problem-solver who values secure engineering, automated testing, and safe, regular production releases.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in financial services, banking, or trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Symphony integrations).
Exposure to modern DevOps practices and internal deployment tooling.
Summary
If you’re ready to solve real-world problems, work directly with modern AI tools like GitHub Copilot and OpenAI integrations, and take features from concept to production, we want to talk to you.
