Responsibilities
As a Fund Accountant, you will be a key player in the accounting life cycle of investment funds. You will collaborate with several internal and external departments, while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial data.
Main responsibilities:
- Prepare and review the periodic financial statements of the funds (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Ensure the accuracy of the calculation of the net asset value (NAV).
- Participate in annual audits and ensure smooth communication with external auditors.
- Perform portfolio reconciliation with custodians and counterparties.
- Analyze discrepancies, correct accounting anomalies, and document processes.
- Collaborate with the Investment, Compliance and Tax teams on various projects.
- Monitor regulatory changes and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA designation an asset).
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Excel and good understanding of IFRS standards.
- Analytical skills, autonomy and attention to detail.
- Good team player and ability to manage several files simultaneously.
