This opportunity is ideal for mechanics who work well independently, excel at solving complex technical problems, and take pride in completing critical work that has a real operational impact.
What You’ll Gain:
Competitive Compensation: Earn $56.70/hour, plus additional field premiums and allowances to recognize your specialized skills and expertise.
Work-Life Balance: Follow a 14-day on, 14-day off rotation, allowing two intensive weeks of work followed by two full weeks off. Optional overtime is also available to increase earnings.

Responsibilities
The Challenge:
Take the lead as the on-site technical authority, assuming full responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and major overhauls of critical field equipment. You will serve as the go-to expert for all issues related to Natural Gas Compression and Energy Power Generation systems.
Operate and maintain a wide variety of specialized machinery, including:
Natural gas and diesel engines of multiple types
Industrial compressors and power generation equipment
Machinery from major OEMs such as Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins, and other non-Caterpillar brands
Qualifications
Mandatory Field Requirements: Are You Ready for This Senior Role?
This is a highly specialized, senior field position — it is not an entry-level role or a training opportunity. Only apply if you can confidently demonstrate expertise in the areas listed below.
Advanced Technical Expertise: This position requires hands-on, in-depth technical knowledge. Foundational training or on-the-job instruction will not be provided.
Required Certification: Applicants must hold a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) certification. Candidates from other Red Seal trades, including Millwright, Mechanic, or Electrician, may be considered if they have documented experience working with gas compression systems.
Gas Compression Experience: Proven, practical experience with industrial Gas Compression equipment across multiple brands and models is mandatory.
Precision Field Assembly: Ability to perform detailed, high-stakes assembly work, achieving leak-free connections on complex equipment the first time.
Torque Expertise: Demonstrated skill in applying torque accurately to critical components, following all technical specifications.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Industry Experience: Prior work in Gas Compression or Well Servicing environments is highly valued.
Commissioning Knowledge: Familiarity with start-up and commissioning procedures for industrial equipment.
Engine Skills: Hands-on experience with Caterpillar G3600 A4 engines is a strong asset.
