This is a very manual and general maintenance position where no two days are quite the same. One day you might be repairing a perimeter fence, and the next you could be adjusting fan belts or changing motors on critical machinery. Your ability to troubleshoot and perform general repairs is key to keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of general maintenance and repair tasks across the facility and grounds.
Conduct manual, hands-on mechanical repairs, including tasks like changing motors and adjusting fan belts on equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of plant assets.
Execute outdoor maintenance, which may include fence repairs and upkeep of surrounding areas.
Assist in maintaining a safe and operational work environment.
Use basic computer software for record-keeping and work order management.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
Mechanical Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in mechanical repair and maintenance.
Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required due to the remote site location and lack of public transportation access.
General Maintenance Acumen: Ability to handle a very broad and general range of repair tasks.
A few years of relevant experience in a similar industrial or maintenance role.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Computer Skills for data entry and communication.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Welding Skill: Experience with basic welding would be a significant asset.
Education: A degree or technical diploma in Electromechanics (or equivalent mechanical trade certification) is a definite plus.
Candidates must be fluent in French
