Working as part of the Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS) division, these technicians will play a key role in deploying and maintaining end-user computers, refreshing hardware, and providing hands-on technical support to healthcare staff. The ideal candidates are motivated, dependable, and customer-focused IT professionals who thrive in active, fast-paced environments. A typical day involves supporting users directly within healthcare facilities—installing and configuring devices, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring systems operate efficiently. Candidates must hold an IT diploma from a recognized institution, be comfortable working on their feet throughout the day, and meet all immunization and background check requirements for working in a hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity for recent IT graduates or early-career technicians to gain valuable field experience in a critical healthcare environment while supporting one of Nova Scotia’s most impactful digital transformation projects.

Responsibilities
•Provide on-site and remote technical support within healthcare facilities.
•Deploy and configure new computers, accessories, and software.
•Refresh and replace existing hardware as part of lifecycle management.
•Troubleshoot and resolve user and device issues efficiently.
•Gather information from clients to support problem resolution.
•Document daily tasks, updates, and progress reports.
•Support additional IT activities as directed by the team lead or manager.
Qualifications
•IT diploma or equivalent credential from a recognized institution (e.g., NSCC, Eastern College, or university).
•Experience in customer service and on-site technical support.
•Strong understanding of desktop computing and user support practices.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
•Physically able to work on-site in healthcare facilities with frequent walking and standing.
•Must have a clear RCMP criminal record check and up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella).
