As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role day-to-day, working closely with the HR Manager, supervisors, and team leads across the plant and distribution centre. This HR Generalist position offers a highly engaging work environment that combines recruitment, an active presence on the production floor, health and safety management, as well as overseeing benefits programs and leave management. Responsibilities
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all hourly positions to support operational growth.
• Serve as the primary, trusted resource for employees by maintaining a regular, dynamic presence on the floor.
• Lead and revitalize the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee to ensure a safe work environment.
• Independently manage all claims, CNESST files, sick leave, and return-to-work protocols.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and administer the HRIS system.
• Drive various HR projects autonomously to optimize processes.
• Work in close collaboration with the payroll team to ensure smooth tracking of attendance data and employee records.
Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Advisor role, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Intermediate English skills to communicate with partners, clients, or employees outside Quebec.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec labor laws, CNESST claims management, and occupational health and safety principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High degree of initiative and proactivity.
• Versatility and open-mindedness.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player with a proven aptitude for collaborative work.
