Responsibilities
Act as an active member of the management committee and contribute to the development of the plant's human capital.
Play a strategic advisory role to managers on the application of HR policies, labour law, collective agreement interpretation, and staff development.
Manage the entire cycle of labour relations, including grievance management, investigations, and preparation for collective agreement negotiations.
Lead the complete staffing process for hourly and office positions (posting, interviews, selection) and oversee the integration of new employees.
Develop and implement HR programs related to talent management, skills development, performance management, and employee recognition.
Act as a change agent, supporting organizational transformation initiatives and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure effective internal communication and keep employees and managers informed of current policies, procedures, and regulations.
Work with the union to maintain harmonious and constructive labour relations.
Manage benefits administration and act as a backup for payroll processing.
Coordinate specific HR projects, such as the rollout of new systems (time clocks) and employee engagement surveys.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial relations, human resources management, or a related field.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a generalist or business partner role in human resources.
Essential experience in a unionized, manufacturing environment in Quebec.
Perfectly bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written.
In-depth knowledge of Quebec's labour laws and HR practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of change management and organizational development.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Member of the "Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés" (CRHA) is a significant asset.
Experience with HRIS (SuccessFactors) and payroll (Dayforce) systems is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to various audiences.
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and grievance management skills.
Critical thinking and the ability to analyze complex situations to propose strategic HR solutions.
Engaging leadership and the ability to act as a coach for managers.
Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work in a team to achieve common goals.
Emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate the dynamics of a diverse workforce.
Results-oriented, reliable, and a strong sense of accountability.
