Responsibilities
•Produce submittal drawings for approval, field installation drawings, and fabrication sheets for specialty HVAC ductwork using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
•Collaborate with the other drafters, account managers, estimators, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and timelines.
•Consistently manage and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time without compromising quality.
•Maintain accuracy and quality standards in all drawings, ensuring compliance with industry codes and client specifications.
•Revise and update designs based on feedback from clients, engineers, or the production team.
•Support the design and drafting team in maintaining and improving turnaround times and drawing accuracy.
•Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and team efficiency.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
•2+ years of experience in HVAC sheet metal ductwork design or a related field.
•Proficient in AutoCAD software and Autodesk Inventor.
•Strong attention to detail
•Strong communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Physical demands and work environment:
•Work is primarily in an office environment
•Successful candidate must be able to operate standard office equipment.
•Must be able to use a computer to access, input and retrieve information.
