Responsibilities
The main tasks of the Industrial Mechanic (Operator Profile) include the following functions:
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and major repairs on complex manufacturing machinery to prevent production downtime.
Operation and Optimization: Actively operate machinery, feed raw materials into the production systems, and precisely adjust technical parameters.
Troubleshooting and Welding: Perform accurate diagnostics, analyze mechanical breakdowns, and execute welding work as required for troubleshooting.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in equipment improvement projects to maximize production line efficiency.
Health and Safety: Strictly comply at all times with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as food industry hygiene standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this Industrial Mechanic position in Montreal West must possess the following qualifications:
Recognized Training: Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Industrial Mechanics or a DEP in Automated Systems Electromechanics.
Practical Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar field, ideally within the food processing or pharmaceutical sector.
Professional Skills: Demonstrate high autonomy, strong analytical and diagnostic skills, and excellent team communication.
Scheduling Flexibility: Be fully available and flexible to work a 12-hour shift structure on an on-call basis (day and night, 7 days/week).
Legal Requirement: Hold an official and mandatory authorization to work in Quebec at the time of application.
