Responsibilities
•Generate and post general ledger entries; meticulously analyze financial data including bank statements, expenses, and collections.
•Ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping records and general ledger balances.
•Oversee both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
•Support the biweekly payroll cycle, performing necessary reconciliations and preparing related journal entries.
•Monthly, prepare and critically review balance sheet and account reconciliations as a key component of the close process.
•Maintain accurate tracking and reconciliation of intercompany and related party transactions.
•Develop comprehensive monthly financial statements, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and management Reporting Packs.
•Prepare and accurately file sales tax returns (for both US and Canadian jurisdictions) and other required regulatory compliance documents.
•Provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors to ensure audit readiness.
•Take on special projects, ad hoc financial analyses, and additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•A professional accounting designation (or in progress) is mandatory.
•3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience within a small-to-mid-sized organization or a SaaS finance department.
•Proven proficiency with QuickBooks Online. Must possess expert-level Microsoft Excel skills (including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis).
•Solid grasp of financial reporting standards, reconciliation procedures, and ASPE principles.
•Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively.
•Proven capacity for sound judgment, complex problem-solving, and strong analytical thought.
•An independent self-starter capable of working autonomously while effectively contributing to a unified, team-focused environment.
•Adept at managing multiple, competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
•Demonstrates unwavering commitment to professional integrity, reliability, and precision in all financial reporting.
