Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Engineering: Lead requirements gathering using standard business analysis techniques, including Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviews, stakeholder workshops, and collaborative process mapping.
Core Business Modeling: Conduct comprehensive business modeling, including use case modeling, process mapping, data flow modeling, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions.
Backlog & SOW Management: Leverage project leadership and management capabilities to coordinate task priorities, monitor project progress, resolve pipeline problems, and report status regularly to management and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Brainstorming Tooling: Drive interactive visual design and collaborative requirements workshops using tools like Figma for user interface mockups and Miro for real-time process brainstorming.
DevOps & Delivery Tracking: Structure, track, and maintain user requirements, epics, and features within an Agile development framework using Jira and DevOps ecosystems.
Business Cases & Feasibility: Assess operational problems or opportunities, preparing data-driven business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
Specification Translation: Translate abstract business and data requirements into clear functional specifications sufficient for designing downstream technology solutions.
Performance Measurement & Traceability: Develop and manage requirements traceability matrices and definitive performance metrics for business analysis evaluation and subsequent project follow-up.
Qualifications
Core Business Analysis Experience: Minimum 4 years of dedicated professional experience operating as an IT Business Analyst, successfully gathering requirements, modeling business processes, and managing user specifications (Strictly Required).
Foundational Project Leadership: Demonstrated professional experience handling light project management tracks, coordinating task distribution, or leading project deployment workflows (Strictly Required).
Technical Collaboration Tooling Prowess: Proven practical experience utilizing DevOps, Jira, Miro, and Figma to capture requirements, trace metrics, and build interface mockups (Strictly Required).
Methodological Depth: Deep functional understanding of structured software development lifecycles (SDLC), object-oriented design concepts, and Agile project delivery methodologies.
Artifact Production & Design: Demonstrated ability to prepare professional documentation, including business functional models, process maps, user briefs, and executive presentations.
Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving, communication, and negotiation mechanics, with an established history of managing timelines, building team consensus, and meeting project sprint deadlines.
Nice to Have:
Prior professional business analysis, data coordination, or systems review experience within a public sector branch or broader public sector (BPS) landscape.
Foundational familiarity with digital accessibility legislation, including AODA regulations and standards.
