Key Responsibilities
• Design and build Microsoft Fabric data engineering workloads using Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Spark, SQL Endpoint, and OneLake.
• Implement Raw, Curated, and Trusted data layers for governed data delivery.
• Build scalable ingestion and transformation pipelines for Salesforce, Oracle/SAP, APIs, files, and other enterprise sources.
• Develop reusable metadata-driven pipeline patterns for full, incremental, and CDC-style loads.
• Implement data quality checks, reconciliation rules, schema drift handling, audit logging, and restartable pipeline patterns.
• Support Microsoft Purview for data discovery, classification, ownership, stewardship, lineage, and certification, and validate lineage from source through Fabric into Power BI.
• Build Trusted data products that enable certified Power BI semantic models and reporting.
• Apply CI/CD using Azure DevOps, Git, pull requests, automated testing, and controlled deployments across DEV, UAT, and PROD.
• Support access controls using Entra ID groups, RBAC, approved identities, Key Vault, and least-privilege patterns.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues, and create operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with business analysts, source-system SMEs, data stewards, BI developers, platform teams, and governance stakeholders.
• Produce technical documentation, data mappings, pipeline designs, test evidence, and knowledge-transfer materials; mentor junior team members and contribute to reusable engineering standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, BI engineering, or enterprise data platform delivery.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Azure data engineering services.
• Strong SQL skills and solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline support.
• Hands-on Spark-based data processing and notebook-driven development experience.
• Experience with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, SQL Endpoint, Data Factory, and semantic model enablement.
• Experience designing batch and incremental data pipelines.
• Experience applying CI/CD and engineering best practices to data and analytics workloads.
• Strong understanding of data governance, access control, lineage, metadata, and data quality.
• Familiarity with Power BI and downstream analytics enablement.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
