Responsibilities
As an Intermediate Hardware / Mechatronics Engineer, you will work on a diverse range of service automation technologies, from self-service kiosks to advanced biometric and computer vision-based solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key role in the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Designing, prototyping, and integrating electro-mechanical systems for new product platforms.
•Creating and executing test plans for devices and prototypes, then analyzing and reporting on the results.
•Assisting with product integration and design activities across multiple programs.
•Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues as a Level 3 hardware support expert.
•Planning and managing regulatory testing and certification processes (e.g., safety and emissions compliance).
•Creating and maintaining product Bills of Materials (BoMs).
•Supporting product installation, deployment, and production handover activities.
•Coordinating with suppliers for procurement, vendor selection, and component alternatives.
Qualifications
What You Bring
•A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
•At least 4 years of experience in product development and/or system design.
•A strong understanding of hardware/software integration and system-level design challenges.
•Proficiency in interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics and diagrams.
•Experience selecting electrical and mechanical components with a focus on performance and reliability.
•Familiarity with embedded systems, power architecture, and peripherals is a plus.
•Basic programming skills (Python, C/C++, MicroPython) and the ability to interface with hardware/sensors are a plus.
•An organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated work ethic.
•Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows OS; Linux experience is a plus.
•Occasional domestic and international travel (up to 10-20%) for on-site and deployment support.
