Responsibilities
Actively participate in the development, maintenance, and support of applications and services within the Pricing and Underwriting ecosystem.

Help implement and promote Agile best practices, positively influencing both team members and external stakeholders.

Work across multiple parallel projects in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Apply Agile Scrum methodology for software development and project delivery.

Collaborate closely with technical and business teams to identify and develop new opportunities.

Design and maintain solutions using Java 21, Tomcat, SOA, and microservice architectures (Java, Spring Boot, REST).

Utilize a wide range of tools including GitHub, Postman, Maven, Jenkins, ArgoCD, IntelliJ, JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.

Work on-site at the Saint-Hyacinthe office at least two days per week.



Qualifications
Strong experience (5 to 8 years) in Java application development, with deep knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot, SOA, and microservice architectures (REST).

Practical experience in the property and casualty insurance sector is a significant asset.

Full bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is essential.

Proven ability to provide technical leadership within development teams and actively contribute to the department’s development community.

Excellent teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of accountability.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with initiative and the capacity to perform well under pressure.

Hands-on experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

University degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS is considered an asset.

Experience with the Pega platform is considered an asset.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
