This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate, ASAP start. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team, reporting directly to management. You will play a crucial role in reporting and analysis, providing financial support to the business, conducting inventory analysis, and ensuring all financial activities align with company goals and objectives. This Accounting Coordinator role requires someone with strong analytical skills who can reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and provide key insights to management.

Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports and analysis.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Perform data entry of inventory receipts.
- Conduct inventory reporting and analysis.
- Be involved in physical inventory counts.
- Report key performance metrics.
- Prepare analyses as required by management, including variance analysis, justifications for expenditures, and analysis of trends.
- Liaise with other functional managers and staff as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned while ensuring all financial activities are in line with company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in increasingly accounting or analytical roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a diploma in accounting.
- Demonstrated experience working with management teams.
- Experience working in either the construction or manufacturing sectors would be an asset.
- Strong analytical skills – essential for financial reporting, inventory analysis, and identifying trends.
- Proficiency with financial software and tools relevant to accounting functions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid organizational skills and strong attention to detail for managing financial records.
- Proven problem-solving skills, accountability, and dependability with high energy and motivation.
- Strong time management, research, and analysis skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating initiative, ethics, and integrity.
- Capacity for decision-making and judgment, including enforcing laws, rules, and regulations.
