Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end execution of complex IT application projects, controlling timelines, budgets, scope, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
Lead multidisciplinary project teams, fostering accountability and maintain high engagement without direct hierarchical authority.
Manage cross-functional dependencies across internal business units, technical infrastructure teams, and external vendor partners.
Establish and track key performance indicators, executive dashboards, and progress reports for senior leadership.
Proactively identify operational roadblocks, formulate pragmatic solutions, and navigate high-stakes decision-making environments.
Participate in strategic procurement processes, including RFP evaluation and vendor management.
Qualifications
Demonstrated track record of success managing application-focused IT projects within large, complex corporate environments.
Solid foundational understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts and critical system interdependencies.
Exceptional leadership capabilities, strong executive presence, and proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Proven adaptability, strong analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to risk management.
Excellence in English and French communication (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Assets: Prior experience in financial services or insurance; PMP, Agile, or PRINCE2 certifications; exposure to legacy system decommissioning, mainframe modernization (z/OS, COBOL, DB2), or RFP execution.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties.
