As a senior network analyst, you will bridge the gap between business-as-usual (BAU) network operations, capacity planning, and architectural growth strategies. Operating within a hybrid work model in Mississauga (with potential on-call rotation duties), you will analyze packet traces, monitor LAN/WAN traffic, troubleshoot complex network incidents, and perform deep-dive data modeling. Responsibilities

Monitor network capacity proactively to forecast growth needs, identify outliers, and remedy bottlenecks before incidents impact production.
Evaluate and optimize routers, switches, Datacenter switching, VxLAN, Cisco ACI, load balancers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP services, and LAN/WAN/SD-WAN circuits.
Track and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Class of Service (QoS) utilization trends across network platforms and circuits.
Maintain detailed growth projections and multi-year capacity models for various lines of business to inform future hardware and circuit upgrades.
Collaborate with Network Architects and Line of Business stakeholders to evaluate coming projects, assess network readiness, and establish monitoring thresholds.
Develop custom reporting, maintain data mining processes, and configure business definitions on network sniffer appliances.
Provide consultative guidance on testing emerging technologies (Cloud, SD-WAN, Wireless, VoIP) from a capacity and availability standpoint.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Network Expertise
Troubleshooting & Network Tenure: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on technical troubleshooting experience in enterprise-level network IT infrastructure.
Network Infrastructure Mastery: Deep technical expertise covering routers, switches, Datacenter switching, VxLAN, ACI (SDN), load balancers, firewalls, DNS/DHCP, LAN/WAN circuits, and SD-WAN.
Packet Analysis & Sniffers: Strong hands-on experience using network sniffers and trace analysis tools (e.g., ExtraHop, Riverbed ARX, NetScout InfiniStream).
QoS & Capacity Planning: Proven experience managing network capacity and performance optimization within high-QoS enabled environments.
Cloud & Emerging Tech: Practical performance management experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and SD-WAN architectures.
Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Preferred Assets & Certifications
Industry Certifications: Active CCNP or CCIE certifications are preferred.
Scripting & Data Mining: Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash), SQL query extraction, or automated data mining is a definite plus.
Modeling Tools: Experience with network modeling tools such as OPNET.
