Responsibilities
What you'll do:
Perform standard plant electrician tasks.
Monitor equipment performance using OEE software and respond to requests from the production team.
Troubleshoot electrical issues with building and equipment.
Collaborate with the scheduler to complete corrective and preventative maintenance work orders.
Report back on parts requirements, machine issues, and external support needs.
If you take on the supervisor role, you would also:
Manage a team of four individuals (mechanics and a scheduler).
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly performance and operations meetings.
Work with the scheduler and plant manager to manage the R&M budget (~$50k per month).
Oversee and manage on-site contractors.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure all work requests are completed.
Qualifications
Must-haves:
Journeyman Electrician certification ***
Nice-to-haves:
Experience in a food manufacturing facility, preferably with liquid production (e.g., dairy, alcohol, beverages).
Familiarity with automation, especially fillers (jug and pouch) and case automation.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues, including VFDs.
Experience working cross-departmentally with Safety, Quality, Production, and Warehouse teams.
Experience using CMMS (maintenance software) and OEE systems.
For the supervisor role, previous experience leading a maintenance department and managing contractors is a strong plus.
