We’re seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Electrician with CPG manufacturing and automation experience to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll work in a fast-paced, highly automated consumer packaged goods facility, supporting production, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
For the right candidate, this role could expand into a Maintenance Supervisor position, overseeing a small team and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities
Perform standard plant electrician duties in a CPG manufacturing setting
Troubleshoot and repair high-speed packaging equipment, fillers (jug & pouch), and case automation systems
Monitor equipment performance using OEE systems, responding to production requests quickly
Maintain and troubleshoot VFDs, PLC-controlled systems, and automated machinery
Collaborate with the scheduler to complete corrective and preventative maintenance work orders using CMMS software
Communicate parts requirements, machine issues, and contractor needs to leadership
If in the Supervisor Role:
Lead a team of 4 (mechanics & scheduler) and manage on-site contractors
Participate in daily/weekly/monthly operational meetings
Work with the plant manager on R&M budgets (~$50k/month)
Coordinate with Safety, Quality, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Required:
Journeyman Electrician certification
Strong troubleshooting skills with automated equipment & controls
Preferred:
Experience in food & beverage, dairy, or other liquid product manufacturing
Hands-on knowledge of fillers, conveyors, packaging machinery, and case automation
Familiarity with OEE systems and CMMS software
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in maintenance
