About the Role:
This is not an IT job. We’re looking for a licensed Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic with extensive field experience who’s ready to transition into a support-focused position.
As an HVAC Technical Support Specialist, you’ll:
- Provide troubleshooting expertise to technicians via phone, email, Teams, and site visits when required.
- Support contractors through complex installations and system commissioning.
- Deliver real-world solutions that help projects stay on track and customers stay satisfied.
- Occasionally roll up your sleeves in the field—but without the wear and tear of daily hands-on labour.
- This position is primarily based in Edmonton, with travel across Alberta (fully reimbursed) and occasional support for the Calgary office.

Responsibilities
🔧 Your Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for technicians and contractors seeking technical assistance
- Provide troubleshooting expertise on VRF/VRV systems, controls, electronics, and installation challenges
- Support commissioning and service activities both remotely and during site visits
- Deliver and facilitate technical training sessions through Microsoft Teams or in person
- Partner with the sales and engineering teams to address and resolve product concerns
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related tools
Qualifications
✅ What You’ll Bring to the Team
- A Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic certification (mandatory)
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC field experience
- Solid knowledge of wiring, controls, and electronic systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with others
- Background in training apprentices or coaching peers is a strong asset
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools
- A valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle (all travel costs covered)
- Nice-to-have extras: VRF/VRV expertise, AutoCAD exposure, First Aid, Fall Protection, or Forklift certification
