We are looking for 2 highly skilled Journeyman Welders / Structural Fitters to join our team for a long-term position at our premier fabrication shop in Fort Saskatchewan.
This is a temp-to-perm placement designed for professionals looking to lock down steady, long-term employment in a structured shop environment. Responsibilities
FCAW Welding & Fitting: Perform high-quality structural assembly and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) processes in a modern fabrication shop environment.
Blueprint & Layout Interpretation: Read and interpret structural drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication layouts to position and fit components perfectly.
Fabrication Duties: Align, fit, and tack weld structural components together prior to final production welding.
Safety & QA/QC Compliance: Cooperate with the shop quality management team to ensure all code requirements (including ABSA and CWB standards) are perfectly met.
Qualifications
Ticket Requirement: Must be a Journeyman Welder (JMAN) holding a valid ticket.
Testing: Ability to pass practical ABSA and CWB weld tests on-site is required.
Asset: Candidates who already possess active, up-to-date CWB and ABSA tickets will be highly prioritized.
Strong expertise in FCAW processes and multi-pass structural welding.
Proficient in structural layout, fitting techniques, and using standard shop tools safely.
Local to Fort Saskatchewan or surrounding areas with reliable daily transportation.
