Responsibilities
Incident Intake & Queue Management: Monitor operational queues, triage incoming technical incidents, perform root-cause diagnostics, and lead incident resolution workflows in alignment with ITIL Incident Management protocols.
Service Request Fulfillment: Coordinate and execute end-to-end service request fulfillment, application configuration changes, and routine maintenance tasks for hosted enterprise applications.
Middleware & Cloud Platform Support: Assist in maintaining and supporting application hosting environments utilizing IBM WebSphere Application Server (NDM/Liberty), IBM DataPower, OpenShift, and Kubernetes platforms.
Deployment Automation Execution: Support continuous integration and automated code deployments across staging and production environments using tools such as UrbanCode Deploy, UrbanCode Velocity, and Ansible scripts.
Change Management & Governance: Evaluate, plan, and implement system change requests according to strict ITIL Change Management procedures, minimizing service disruptions.
System Monitoring & Diagnostics: Monitor middleware health, application performance, and network topologies using diagnostic utilities like ITCAM and Dynatrace.
Service Management Tooling: Document incidents, log technical changes, and track request lifecycles using enterprise service management systems like Remedy/eSMT.
Operational Reporting & Data Visualization: Analyze operational ticket metrics and application uptime data to generate trend reports and dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications
Middleware Application Suite Expertise: Direct hands-on experience or working knowledge supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server (NDM and Liberty) and IBM DataPower platforms (Strictly Required).
Deployment Automation Tooling: Proven experience with automated deployment platforms, specifically UrbanCode Deploy and UrbanCode Velocity (Strictly Required).
Middleware Monitoring Utilities: Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools such as ITCAM, Dynatrace, or similar enterprise APM solutions (Strictly Required).
Cloud & Containerization Technologies: Practical exposure to cloud infrastructure and container orchestration systems including OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Ansible automation (Strictly Required).
ITIL Process Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of ITIL Incident Management and ITIL Change Management processes (Strictly Required).
Service Management Software: 2+ years of experience logging, tracking, and resolving service tickets using Remedy, eSMT, or equivalent IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
Operating Systems & Infrastructure: Experience with Linux (RHEL) or Solaris environments, file transfer protocols (SFTP/Secure Transport), and basic network topologies (load balancers, firewalls, DNS).
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, proactive communication skills, and proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI.
