The Pipe Integrity Engineering Services department within the Safety & Technical Services organization is looking for a junior Integrity Lifecycle Engineer to join the Pipeline Engineering Services / Integrity Lifecycle Team. In this position, you will serve as a bridge for Pipe Integrity, Commercial, and Project teams, which involves providing timely technical solutions, managing operational-driven technical and physical changes, and ensuring proper asset integration. This role will provide you with exposure to a variety of work, offering learning opportunities while ensuring pipe integrity throughout the Project lifecycle. What you’ll do
Facilitate internal stakeholder engagement between Pipe Integrity, Projects and Project Services for grow projects of all sizes, including pipeline, compression and measurement
Engagement activities include but are not limited to; design & engineering support, due diligence studies, design review, variance and non-conformance reporting (NCR) support, construction support, implement lessons learned, baseline assessment program planning, project integration and turnover
Provide regulatory and community relations support, including project regulatory application preparation and review, response to Information Requests (IR), implementation of project regulatory commitments and conditions
Scope, manage and/or implement operational technical and physical changes, such as facility relicensing or reactivation, flow capacity & operating pressure increase, piping modification, flow reversal, asset decommissioning, divestiture and abandonment (DDA), etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent from an accredited university
Registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng. with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), or equivalent governing body
2 or more years of relevant engineering work experience, not including co-op or internship work terms
An alternative combination of education and experience may be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in pipeline integrity, facility integrity, or regional field operations
Knowledge of Project Delivery Standard (PDS), SAP system, Management of Change (MOC) and Integrity Management Program (IMP)
