We are looking for someone who can adapt to rapid change, prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and hit the ground running immediately.
This role is a unique opportunity to work mostly on your own while coordinating with other departments as necessary. You will be based in an office setting but may occasionally go into the warehouse to handle shipping documents. The ideal candidate has strong logistics experience, excellent computer skills, and an openness to "doing what it takes" to succeed.
Advantages
- Temporary opportunity with long-term potential
- Independent work environment where you can take ownership of your tasks
- Fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.
- Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
- Friendly and supportive team
- Great location close to the highway for an easy commute
- $18-21/hour
Responsibilities
- Track inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials.
- Coordinate and schedule rail cars, tanker cars, pickups, and deliveries with transport and logistics companies.
- Perform order intake, data entry, and invoicing.
- Utilize inventory software and print shipping labels.
- Handle warehouse transferring and manage shipping documents between the office and warehouse.
Qualifications
- Proven experience and knowledge in logistics, as hands-on experience is prioritized.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to rapid change, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Responsible, proactive, and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Duties will be completed in English.
- Other administrative duties as assigned
Summary
If you are a driven individual with strong logistics knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach, this is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career. You will benefit from the chance to work independently, contribute significantly to the smooth operation of raw material logistics, and secure a potentially permanent role.
