In this Logistics Administrator role, you will be a key member of the Logistics Team, focusing on the essential documentation and coordination required to implement freight needs and functions. You will work closely with internal departments, including sales and operations, to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment. Since this role is based in Milton, Ontario, you will be part of a dynamic team that values dependability and sound management practices.
As a Logistics Administrator, your day-to-day will involve high-level coordination using in-house systems and managing the critical communication between carriers and accounting. Responsibilities
• Perform administrative coordination of inbound and outbound material movements using bisTrack and WMS systems.
• Review, verify, and process freight and custom invoices with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as a primary administrative liaison between accounts payable and the accounts receivables departments of trucking companies.
• Maintain accurate records of booked loads and perform consistent follow-ups on shipment status.
• Assist with the administrative side of inventory control, including cycle counting documentation and bin label maintenance.
• Support the assessment of freight requirements by organizing data to help negotiate competitive market rates.
• Maintain professional correspondence with railways to represent the interests of rail-serviced operations.
• Document and troubleshoot WMS inaccuracies to support overall operational efficiency.
• Provide administrative support to the Logistics Team to ensure all supply and demand trends are tracked.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal sales teams.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in using in-house logistics software or WMS systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for processing invoices and tracking freight expenses.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics is an asset.
• High level of flexibility and the ability to prioritize administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to resolve logistics issues promptly.
