Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international freight movements with carriers, clients, and third-party providers
- Manage end-to-end transportation for FTL, LTL, air, ocean, and cross-border shipments
- Ensure timely pickups, customs clearance, and on-time deliveries while addressing service issues as they arise
- Prepare and manage essential logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, commercial invoices, and load confirmations
- Maintain accurate shipment data in Excel and logistics platforms; track performance metrics and costs
- Collaborate with global partners, customs brokers, and freight agents to support smooth international operations
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams to provide shipment updates and resolve escalations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors; negotiate competitive rates when required
- Support compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and client-specific shipping protocols
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or freight brokerage (global scope preferred)
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, or TMS platforms is an asset
- Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written) is mandatory
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence to coordinate across time zones and regions
