Responsibilities
Handle all ground and intermodal freight pricing:
- Create customized rate structures, quotes, and bid responses for new and existing customers, ensuring quick and accurate turnaround
- Manage and maintain the pricing database, ensuring all rates, tariffs, and cost inputs are current and accurate
- Analysis and reporting of market trends, fuel costs, carrier cost structures, and competitive pricing to identify risks and opportunities.
- Perform margin analysis on completed shipments to evaluate pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments.
- Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure pricing strategies align with sales goals, operational capacity, and service delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate rates and contractual terms with key carriers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the transportation industry (preferably 3PL or brokerage), with minimum 1 year experience handling pricing
- Knowledge of different ground freights (LTL, FTL, Reefer, Dry, Specialized, Bulk, etc)
- Analytical mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and remain organized
- Bilingual French and English
