Responsibilities
- Maximize sales growth and achieve assigned objectives, while capturing and documenting all required aspects and steps of sales in the YLCA CRM system
- Interact with clients, schedule at least 2 meetings per working day, make presentations and negotiate quotes with comfort and ease - Obtain new business in all areas of activity
- Integration and development of new accounts in the assigned territory
- Maintain and develop existing accounts by developing and applying a clear strategy to cultivate relationships with existing clients as part of cross-selling opportunities
- Establishes, builds and develops strong relationships with decision-makers
- High level of service on all orders, quotes, follow-ups, and customer communications
- Prepares, presents and monitors requests for information, calls for tenders, bids and contracts
- Ensure that accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, appointment presentations, closed sales, opportunities, pipeline, and any necessary follow-up activities, are accurately stored and submitted in our CRM/reports in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Degree in business, logistics or a related field preferably and/or at least three years of experience in B2B sales. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum three years' experience in the international transport/logistics/transport industry required; demonstrating an understanding of logistics processes, systems, and solutions
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the international freight industry and customer market segment, including a comprehensive knowledge of all IFF products
- Minimum of three years of field sales experience required; preferred experience in both commercial account management and business development functions
- Knowledge of logistics services, including air freight, sea freight, inland transport, customs and insurance
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems in order to determine their resolution
- Continuously seeks opportunities for customer-specific offers or processes by exploring and implementing new approaches and ideas
- Effective time management – ability to manage oneself, time, and priorities
