This is a specialized role requiring a candidate who can hit the ground running with instrumentation, calibration, and PLC troubleshooting.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you work alongside the millwrights, responsible for the P.M., upkeep, and repair of the food manufacturing and high-speed packaging equipment
Job Type: Permanent position
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Schedule: Rotating Night shift or Relief position (flexible shits)
Environment: Unionized
Wage: Hourly $46 to $49 an hour (depending on department and shift premiums)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
*Working along side the maintenance Millwright*
• Embody a safety-first culture while continuously improving standards
• Attending to emergency breakdowns
• Reactive and Predictive work on electrical manufacturing equipment (including trouble shooting and root cause analysis). Pumps, PLCs (Allen Bradley) VFDs, automation equipment, compressors, boilers, and more.
• Performing preventative maintenance on conveyors
• Troubleshooting, upgrading, and emergency repairs on equipment and machinery
• Performing troubleshooting and modifications on PLC controls and systems (no PLC programming required)
• Adjustment and installation of equipment
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure all work orders are properly documented through the appropriate systems (SAP) and outlets
Qualifications
What we are looking for in a candidate?
- Needs to have a Electrical Journeyman certificate (or a Red Seal)
- Working knowledge of machinery including VFDs, boilers, and sensors.
- Experience working in the food or high-speed packaging industry
- Some PLC knowledge is required (no PLC programming needed)
