Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the facility infrastructure and machinery upkeep to maximize production efficiency.
- Direct a large organizational structure, overseeing up to 10 supervisors directly and a total workforce of 40–50 indirect employees.
- Cultivate a harmonious and collaborative work culture by maintaining clear communication lines with unionized personnel.
- Control departmental financial allocations, parts procurement, and annual budget planning processes.
- Spearhead plant-level capital expenditure projects while collaborating seamlessly with corporate project managers.
- Guide the technical growth of your team while troubleshooting complex mechanical and automation issues.
Qualifications
- Possess either a formal mechanical engineering degree or a valid Millwright or electrical license.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of management experience within a fast-paced bottling manufacturing facility.
- Exhibit at least 3 years of proven labour relations experience successfully managing teams in a unionized environment.
- Showcase strong leadership capabilities with a track record of driving change and resolving workplace conflicts.
- Display proficiency in utilization of modern digital tools, specifically Microsoft Office and SAP PM software.
- Interpret intricate technical schematics and blueprint layouts to accurately direct equipment repairs.
