Responsibilities
As the Manager of Financial Reporting, your core duties will include:
•Financial & Regulatory Reporting: Supporting the preparation and reconciliation of consolidated financial statement disclosures, board materials, and regulatory returns.
•Data Analysis & Storytelling: Conducting complex analysis on large datasets to identify variances and performance metrics that support executive decision-making.
•Operational Excellence: Performing journal entries, proof of balances, and month-end reconciliations while maintaining rigorous SOX control evidence.
•Project Leadership: Leading the implementation and testing of new reporting solutions by interpreting requirements and collaborating with Accounting Policy and Finance IT.
•Internal Controls: Maintaining a strong governance framework and process documentation to ensure an exceptional internal control environment.
•Stakeholder Management: Acting as a center of knowledge for various partners (Tax, Risk, Performance Management) to resolve HO finance-related issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Required:
•Professional Designation: CPA designation (or equivalent) is mandatory.
•Experience: 3+ years of post-designation experience with a strong understanding of disclosure requirements and SOX compliance.
•Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (handling large datasets) and the ability to document complex subject matter clearly.
•Critical Thinking: A proven ability to challenge inconsistent data and independently propose strategic solutions to management.
•Soft Skills: Strong sense of urgency, the ability to multitask under high-pressure executive requests, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
•Previous experience or deep understanding of banking businesses, transactions, and associated risk/return profiles.
•A proactive and persistent approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
