This is a 70–80% hands-on floor leadership position—not an office or desk job. You will take full operational ownership of the shop floor, driving daily throughput, troubleshooting machinery alongside operators, and mentoring department lead hands across three key divisions.

Responsibilities
-Active Floor Leadership: Spend the majority of your day on the plant floor overseeing daily operations, removing production bottlenecks, and resolving mechanical/electrical troubleshooting issues.
-Lead Coaching & Soft-Skills Development: Directly supervise and mentor 3 Department Leads (Weaving/Assembly, MIG/TIG Welding, and Shipping/Receiving). Focus on building their communication, delegation, and junior employee training skills.
-Production & Inventory Control: Conduct Daily Operational Reviews (DORs) with department leads. Utilize our manufacturing ERP system to manage weekly production schedules, raw material inventory, and job tracking.
-Quality & Safety Enforcement: Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, welding specifications, and plant safety policies across all shifts.
-Hiring & Performance Management: Interview, hire, evaluate, and manage performance for all shop floor personnel in alignment with operational goals.
Qualifications
-3–5+ years of experience as a Shop Foreman, Production Supervisor, or Senior Lead Hand in a custom metal fabrication, wire products, industrial equipment, or conveyor manufacturing environment.
-Strong practical troubleshooting skills on industrial plant machinery and production lines.
-Confident, direct personality with the ability to earn immediate respect on a traditional, fast-paced shop floor through technical credibility and firm, fair leadership.
-Strong working knowledge of custom metal assembly and MIG/TIG welding processes to guideline quality and staff development.
-Solid experience utilizing a manufacturing ERP system
