In this pivotal role, you will act as the senior technical authority for our mobile automation and electrical service division. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will split your time between advanced hands-on field troubleshooting and providing technical mentorship to a growing team of field technicians. Additionally, the successful candidate will serve as our Master Electrician of Record for ESA compliance purposes.
Schedule & Travel Expectations
Standard shift: Monday to Friday daytime hours, with overtime flexibility as project demands dictate.
Regular regional travel throughout the GTA, Golden Horseshoe, and South-Western Ontario
Payrate: $50-57/hour

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot, service, and commission complex electrical control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLC inputs/outputs, and safety circuits on heavy industrial equipment and material handling systems.
Field Leadership: Direct small field crews (2–3 technicians) during large-scale system overhauls, retrofits, and complex modernization projects.
Cross-Functional Maintenance: Diagnose complex electrical faults while safely assisting with associated mechanical components (brakes, gearboxes, motors) as required.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Review completed field work to guarantee strict adherence to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, internal quality metrics, and client specifications.
Regulatory Oversight: Maintain company compliance standing by acting as the designated Master Electrician for ESA filings.
Client Relations & Reporting: Deliver exceptional customer service on-site and ensure all digital service logs and job notes are thoroughly documented.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Current, valid Ontario 442A Industrial Electrician or 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician license.
Qualified and eligible to register as a Master Electrician for ESA licensing.
2–3+ years of dedicated field service or plant maintenance experience dealing with heavy industrial machinery, manufacturing systems, or automated overhead equipment.
Robust proficiency reading intricate electrical schematics, line diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Proven experience program-checking PLCs and tuning/commissioning VFD parameters.
Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean abstract.
Comfortable working at heights and operating aerial lift platforms.
