Your day will start on the active warehouse floor performing standard shipping, receiving, and order picking duties. As the next-day order data is finalized, you will transition into the office to manage our dispatch routing. Shift Time: 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Responsibilities
• Receive incoming food product shipments and accurately verify manifest contents against physical warehouse inventory.
• Assign, print, and affix proper labeling, tracking barcodes, and inventory tags to received goods upon arrival.
• Operate a pallet jack and reach truck forklift safely and efficiently to pick products to the exact specifications of customer invoices.
• Verify product numbers, batch codes, expiration dates, and quantities precisely before finalizing orders for shipment.
• Wrap, stage, and prepare completed client pallets and orders for distribution and transport carrier pickup.
• Count, audit, and restock warehouse products regularly to support precise inventory management and cycle-counting standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace across the shipping, receiving, and cold-storage areas to meet food safety standards.
• Manage the end-to-end daily dispatch and routing operations for our fleet of 14 delivery routes, averaging 15 to 30 stops per driver.
• Strategically assign delivery stops in a logical geographical order while carefully balancing customer-specific delivery windows.
• Utilize specialized electronic routing software (such as WorkWave, Sage Routing, or similar tools) to optimize driving paths and maximize fleet efficiency.
• Communicate finalized route plans clearly to the driving and warehouse preparation teams to ensure smooth next-day departures.
• Execute additional general warehouse and operational support duties as assigned by the logistics supervisor.
Qualifications
• Possession of a valid, current forklift operating license or certification, with proven experience operating a reach truck.
• Proven professional experience in electronic routing and dispatching, with hands-on experience using WorkWave, Sage Routing, or equivalent software.
• Exceptional computer and technological literacy, with the ability to comfortably navigate logistics software, spreadsheets, and barcode printing equipment.
• Strong spatial and geographical awareness to logically sequence delivery routes and optimize driving distances across the region.
• Excellent physical stamina and dexterity to transition seamlessly from active, hands-on warehouse work to focused, sedentary computer work.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs during the active warehousing portion of your shift.
• Full willingness, capability, and comfort working daily around raw meat, poultry, and various cold food products.
• Physical readiness to work consistently within a refrigerated and cold-storage warehouse environment of up to -20°C.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure perfect accuracy in both physical order picking and digital routing configurations.
• Superb communication skills to effectively coordinate dispatch plans with drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
• Strong time-management skills to ensure routing tasks are completed on time for next-day deliveries.
• Flexibility to work the scheduled Sunday to Thursday shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM consistently.
