Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanic position in Trois-Rivières near Shawinigan, between Quebec City and Montreal:
Adjusting, repairing and/or replacing defective parts;
Performing preventive maintenance on mobile equipment;
Determining the nature of defects and failures in order to specify
the extent of the repairs to be carried out (diagnosis);
Carrying out a full repair report, identifying the cause of the breakdowns to the problems encountered;
Testing the repaired equipment to ensure that it works and
that the repairs comply with requirements;
Reading plans, diagrams and schematics to determine how to proceed;
Qualifications
Qualifications for the position of heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanic in Trois-Rivières:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanics
- DEP in heavy vehicle or construction equipment mechanics or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of equipment and its operation;
- Basic knowledge of general mechanics, electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics;
- Know how to use diagnostic equipment;
- Crimp a hydraulic hose in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications;
- Know how to use a welding machine and torches;
- Basic computer skills;
- Speak French or English
- Looking for a long-term career
