Responsibilities
As a mechanical estimator designer, your main tasks revolve simply around the following elements:
Design profitable mechanical concepts that are directly focused on energy savings for commercial and industrial clients.
Divide your time between the technical development of projects in front of the computer and practical site visits.
Carefully evaluate new opportunities to define the scope, budgets, and preliminary schedules of projects.
Prepare clear technical and commercial proposals.
Carry out detailed cost estimations and properly evaluate the associated risks.
Smoothly coordinate your activities with the various internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
The requirements to excel in this role of mechanical estimator designer are as follows:
Hold a university degree in engineering, ideally specializing in mechanical engineering.
Possess relevant experience in the field of building systems mechanics, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, or energy services.
Have the ability to design, cost, and estimate projects from scratch, while demonstrating professional autonomy.
Show a good tolerance for ambiguity in the development of new projects.
Possessing a PMP certification or relevant project management training is an additional asset for your application.
