Responsibilities
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will be the technical pillar of our operations. Your tasks, as varied as they are challenging, will mainly consist of:
Technically supporting the drafting team in the creation of plans.
Designing piping suspension systems and participating in the layout of pumping systems.
Acting as the lead for the technical aspects of construction projects.
Analyzing issues reported by field teams and proposing effective solutions.
Collaborating closely with project managers and the fabrication supervisor.
Actively participating in hand-off meetings between departments to ensure smooth communication.
Overseeing the preparation of material lists and monitoring drawing activities.
Ensuring compliance with quality standards and integration and fabrication plans.
Qualifications
The Qualifications We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role as a Project Engineer within our Montreal team, we are looking for a hands-on, passionate, and organized professional. The ideal qualifications are:
A university degree (Bachelor's) in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Engineering, or any other relevant field.
5 to 10 years of experience, ideally in process mechanics and industrial piping.
A strong interest in the layout of water treatment plants.
Solid communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor design software is an asset.
