Responsibilities
- Blueprint Interpretation: Review and interpret drawings, prints, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine project specifications and tolerances.
- Precision Fabrication: Plan and execute the sequence of operations for welding and fitting tasks, including joint alignment, part setup, and final assembly.
- Multi-Process Welding: Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial-grade steel and aluminum components.
- Machine Setup & Operation: Select, set up, and operate various fabrication equipment and hand-cutting tools to produce parts to spec.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality control inspections on finished pieces to ensure they meet all design requirements and precision standards.
Qualifications
- Requirement: Prove your ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for accurate assembly.
- Requirement: Pass a practical welding test on-site in Cambridge to validate your technical proficiency.
- Nice-to-have: Hold a valid CWB certification to meet the high standards of this Metal Fabricator role.
- Nice-to-have: Demonstrate at least 3 years of professional experience welding and fitting heavy-gauge industrial metals.
