Responsibilities
Be responsible for creating the manufacturing file.
Define the optimal assembly sequence while respecting health and safety rules and technical constraints.
Create the work sequences (routings) in accordance with the assembly sequence.
Create adequate visual work instructions based on the production environment. The format may be 3D (Industry 4.0) or 2D depending on the type of assembly.
Support the production launch of new work sequences.
Keep the manufacturing file (work sequence, work instructions) up to date.
Establish standards for the creation of work sequences and work instructions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by drawing on problem-solving techniques as well as Kaizen, "Six Sigma," "Lean," "Design Thinking," and Agile concepts.
Define and control the project's evolution, key stages, and control points, and monitor them.
Implement projects to improve the manufacturing file.
Be proactive and contribute to the Industry 4.0 shift of our manufacturing processes.
Work in collaboration with different teams: Engineering, Production, Project Managers, and IT.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial work methods.
Proficiency in reading and understanding assembly drawings.
Proficiency in manipulating 3D models.
Proficiency in executing manufacturing projects.
Knowledge of PLM, MPMlink, and CreoView (An asset).
Knowledge of the manufacturing environment and its challenges.
Strong communication skills (written and oral). Leadership, good team spirit, and change management skills.
Comfortable in a distributed work environment, remote and sometimes in the office if necessary for the position.
Bilingualism (French and English) required.
