Working in a hybrid environment (4 days in office, 1 day remote), you will draft, review, and negotiate ISDA confirmations for OTC derivative transactions—initially focusing on equity asset classes with potential expansion into cross-asset classes—while driving operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
•Draft and review ISDA confirmations covering plain vanilla and structured OTC derivative transactions initially covering the equity asset classes and thereafter supporting other asset classes, as necessary, and directly negotiating terms of the confirmation with counterparties
•Escalate any unusual behavior as well as any processing issues to the Team Manager in a timely manner following the BCS Escalation Policy
•Assist the Team Manager / Department Head on projects, process improvements or new business initiatives as requested
•Ensure that all documentation comply with jurisdictional regulations, ISDA and current market practice, or where there are variations, that they are acknowledged and understood by the appropriate individuals and teams
•Daily chase and follow up on all outstanding (unsigned) confirmations
•Eliminate lengthy delays in confirmation execution and escalate inevitable delays promptly and appropriately
•Be an information conduit between London, Toronto & New York Derivative Confirmations teams
•Take on ad hoc projects related to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement goals
•Participate in regular team meetings which also includes but is not limited to knowledge sharing on a specific derivative product
•Regulatory initiatives – assist Regional Management to pre-emptively adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, stay abreast of the latest developments (e.g. DFA, Clearing) and their implications to make recommendations.
•Track and govern self-identified gaps and audit comments
•Continue to develop product / market knowledge to ensure daily processes effectively mitigate operational risks
•Support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workload as applicable. This includes cross-training on other desks within the department to provide relief during absences and high-volume periods
Qualifications
Must Have Skills
•Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating OTC derivative confirmations
•Knowledge of equity derivative products (swaps, options, exotics)
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes with accuracy
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service orientation
Nice to have skills:
•CFA or relevant financial certification
•Experience with Sophis, Actiflow, or Nemo
•Python/VBA skills (for process automation or efficiency projects)
•Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Dodd-Frank, EMIR, or clearing requirements
•Cross-asset class confirmations experience (rates, credit, FX)

•Microsoft Office Suite/Sophis/Actiflow/Nemo/Python/VBA
